Continuing these same specialist areas, he has quickly established a regular Crown Court practice which encompasses prosecuting committals for sentence and appeals (both against conviction and sentence), as well as a flourishing defence practice for his year of call, being regularly instructed in committals for sentence and breaches. He has also been instructed as counsel of choice in matters that include violent disorder, burglary with intent to commit GBH, and he successfully secured an acquittal after trial in a Section 20 GBH. He regularly undertakes public interest immunity applications.

In the Court of Appeal he recently secured a 50% reduction in the length of an activated term of a Suspended Sentence.

Additionally, he has extensive experience of youth offending, having appeared in trials of Section 18 GBH, sexual assault on a child under 12, robbery, violent disorder and child cruelty.

Christian also undertakes civil claims against the police.

In terms of his PI practice, he acts for both claimants and defendants in personal injury claims up to fast-track level, and is part of the specialist vehicle credit hire team at 30 Park Place. He also has a developing practice in clinical negligence work.
