Profile
After graduating in Law and Sociology at Cardiff University, Emma Sutton undertook a Masters in Commercial Law, obtaining a Distinction with particular recognition in Contract, Insurance and Intellectual Property Law. During this time she also worked as a Legal Advisor in the office of the Counsel General to the National Assembly for Wales, and she retains a keen interest in Public Law.
Emma achieved Outstanding marks in the Advocacy, Drafting and Legal Research modules of the BVC at Cardiff University, and was awarded the Major Scholarship from Gray's Inn. Then, after successfully completing her pupillage at 30 Park Place, she became a tenant in September 2007 .
Emma practices in all areas of general common law, but has a specific interest in commercial, chancery and administrative work, including company law and insolvency, land law, probate and trusts, inheritance and family provision, local government, planning, landlord and tenant, the administration of estates and clinical negligence.
In addition to the mainstream courts, Emma regularly appears in the Immigration, Employment and Employment Appeal Tribunals, and undertakes public inquiry work as well as advisory work an pleadings.
