Originally from Abercynon, Mid Glamorgan, Tracey gained an LL.B. (Hons) degree from the University of Buckingham and was called to the Bar in July 1988.
After gaining tenancy at Mitre Court Chambers, Temple, London, Tracey practised on the South Eastern Circuit until she joined West Mercia Crown Prosecution Service in 1994.
In 2000, Tracey returned to private practice at St. Phillip’s Chambers, Birmingham, practising exclusively in crime.
In May 2005, she returned home to South Wales and joined the Criminal Team at 30 Park Place.
Tracey continues to practice exclusively in crime dealing with the full range of criminal offences. She is a Grade 4 CPS advocate.
Tracey also specialises in regulatory offences, including health and safety work.
