After graduating from Warwick University Rebecca Harrington attended the University of the West of England, Bristol, where she obtained a Post-graduate Diploma in Law (with Merit). She then undertook the Bar Vocational Course at Cardiff Law School where she achieved an “Outstanding” Grade and was awarded the prize for Drafting and Opinion Writing.
Her pupillage at 30 Park Place was followed by her becoming a member of chambers in 2005.
Rebecca practises in all areas of general common law but has a particular interest in Civil law, comprising general Chancery work, such as Inheritance Act claims and property disputes.ToLATA claims.
She also frequently appears before the Asylum and Immigration Tribunal and the Employment Tribunal in addition to the mainstream Courts.
In the field of Family Law, Rebecca has a well-established reputation as a specialist in all aspects of matrimonial finance and Children Act 1989 Schedule 1 applications. She also has expertise in debt and insolvency in matrimonial finance.
She has a developing practice in Education Law.
