Profile

Jon Holmes spent 20 years working as a Clinician in the National Health Service. His final appointment being Consultant Haematologist, Senior Lecturer at the University of Birmingham and Director of Bone Marrow Transplantation.

After a pupillage and tenancy at Albion Chambers, Bristol, Jon joined 30 Park Place as a tenant in 2001. His criminal practice encompasses all types of offences, naturally specialising in those cases where there is an element of medical evidence, and this expertise naturally lends itself to attending Coroner's Inquests, in respect of which he is regularly instructed.

He also has a sturdy Claimant Clinical Negligence practice, which, by definition, is largely paper-based.

Jon has represented nurses and other clinical professions in disciplinary hearings, with a growing interest in that area of his practice.
